Hey y'all. Every post seems to be long apart from one another nowadays. Truth be told, I've been a busy busy boy. Work had been hell the past couple of weeks with the intense heat. However, with the sudden drop of 2 major employees in July and the increased business towards the end of July, my pay not only increased, but bonuses were thrown in here and there. So in retrospect, this summer has been an incredible summer financially for me. Socially, I've done better despite of the full-time job compared to last summer. Lately me and Erin have gotten to hang out more on weekends and everything has been splendid. We've gone out to many nice restaurants and enjoyed some quality times with all our friends. She got to meet my best friend, Brendan and a couple of Jersey friends. Good times good times :). This past Sunday, me her, a bunch of her friends, and the greatest couple in the UNIVERSE, Steve and EMILIE(!) went clubbing at Shampoo. The bouncers there weren't exactly saints but I wouldn't like having to deal with underaged assholes everyday either. lol
So everything is settled for my apartment. :) Not only did I get accepted for a good bid for a lot of things the tenant left behind, but last weekend I acquired the keys and lease to the place. That day I attained a feeling that I rarely ever feel. Power. After calling the electric company to put an account under my name and paying for my first month, I felt more independent than ever. I love it! Erin got to check out the place and she loves it and I'm glad. We'll be going shopping this Sunday for a lot of apartment goodies. I'll be moving in as much stuff as I can that day as well. Also I'll be turning in a job application to the Pqoda Mexican Grill in Center City. Thank you again for picking it up for me sweetie! <3
Haha oh yeah, yesterday one of the Secretaries at my job flipped shit on my boss... BIG TIME! I don't know if I've ever posted about this guy lately or last summer, but the guy can be a real prick as the owner of the company. Since he has that kind of power, me and others are limited to talking back to him, but not too intensely of course. Well, this secretary made my day by yelling all kinds of shit that I always wanted to say to him. "HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT! YOU ARE AN ASSHOLE! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!?! STICK IT UP YOU ASS, BOB!" This went on for an enjoyable 3 minutes. As I was packing a truck with supplies, I was smiling the whole time and cherished that whole turn of events haha. The great thing was he never said a word back.
So I guess Temple has been giving many the financial shaft lately, but I really find it difficult to understand how they fucked me over this year. Here's the scoop, I applied for financial aid back in February. I didn't really notice it at first, but the entire 6 months up to yesterday they chose to ignore my FAFSA. That's right, so until about 12pm yesterday when I called them, my FAFSA showed up on owlnet as "Pending". Come on now. You keep the system going by taking increasing amounts of tuition payments per year from out-of-state students, but cannot be responsible enough to be a SERVICE. I mean it's in the name. You'd think they'd be a Temple Financial Service when in reality they don't serve worth a shit.
Alright, I've been rather rantive in this post. I can't wait till the end of the month when I'm back to school in my nice apt by the riverside. [/cheesy signoff]
